Easter Bonfire

We celebrate Easter with a blazing bonfire. I toast the end of lent with mead we made two years ago, with honey from Sueva's and Clovis' bees. The guestlist encompasses the usual suspects, including a guitar, a mandolin, two doumbeks and a half dozen packages of hotdogs. The charred and ominous spire which stubbornly withstood four previous bonfires finally succumbs to the flames around midnight.
